Tapo C200 / C210 / TC70 camera
Power adapter (included)
Smartphone (iOS or Android)
2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network
TP-Link ID account
Tapo app (downloaded from App Store or Google Play)
Step-by-step instructions
Download and install the Tapo app from the App Store or Google Play.
Open the app and log in with your TP-Link ID. If you don’t have one, create it within the app.
Press the + (Add Device) button in the app.
Select your camera model (e.g., Tapo C200, C210, or TC70) from the list.
Plug in your camera and wait about 30 seconds for it to power on.
Confirm the camera is in pairing mode by checking for a blinking red and green LED. If not blinking, press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds.
On your phone, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the camera’s temporary network named Tapo_Cam_XXXX (visible in Wi-Fi list).
Return to the Tapo app. It will detect the camera—tap Next.
Select your 2.4 GHz home Wi-Fi network, enter the password, and tap Join.
Wait for the camera to connect (LED becomes solid). Do not power it off during this process.
Once connected, assign a custom name and select a location (e.g., Living Room, Bedroom).
Tap Done to complete setup. You can now view live feed and adjust settings.
Optional: Insert a microSD card (up to 512GB) for local storage, or subscribe to Tapo Care for cloud recording.
